The main attraction at this year’s Chicago Auto Show was the new and improved Ford Shelby GT500 which will be available to the public next year.

Among the many improvements is a new 5.4-litre aluminum engine to replace the older iron one that also had the same displacement capacity. According to Ford, this helped them shave off 50kg from the car’s gross weight. This new engine outputs 550-hp of power and 510-lb/ft of torque which is 10 more hp of power than the older engine. Power-to-weight ratio of the car will of course be significantly higher than its predecessor. This engine is also more fuel efficient than its predecessor’s one. Read the rest of this entry »

The 2011 Ferrari World Design Contest was held for all university students who were tasked to create their concept of the future car and build 2D and 3D models of their dream car. The Team of USD B.V. ,had promising dreams for the Corvette C3. They already knew the capabilities of the favored supercar, which has a supercharger-twin turbo 7-liter V8 engine. But they wanted to create something that not had power in the inside, but it had to reflect on the outside as well. And thus they created something far more than design and style. The 2002 Cadillac Cien, is a concept car manufactured by Cadillac.

The Cadillac Cien was manufactured marking the 100th anniversary of the Cadillac and it was first displayed at the Detroit Auto Show in the year 2002.

The Cadillac Cien features a 7.5 L V12 Northstar XV12 engine with direct injection and it permits six or less cylinders to function at a time during less loads. The engine delivers an output power of 750 bhp and 450 lb-ft torque.

The Cadillac Cien can also be seen in the movie “The Island”, “Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition”, a racing game and “Gran Turismo 4”, a racing video game.
