1. Tire Pressure: Under inflation or over inflation can lead to decreased fuel mileage.
2. Air Filters: Dirty air filters cause your engine to run at less than peak efficiency which increases your fuel consumption.
3. Oil: Using the correct oil weight is important. Higher viscosity oils have greater resistance to the moving parts of the engine and therefore use more gas.

Since the middle of next year all diesel versions Crossover Land Rover Freelander with a manual transmission will have a basic kit equipped with a system of “Stop-Start”, which knocked the engine in traffic jams.The first production (at-least, so say ourselves “lendroverovtsy”) Freelander with the new system was shown at the Paris Motor Show under the name Freelander 2 TD4_e. Bukovka “e” here stands for e-Terrain Technologies – a set of new technologies aimed at improving the environmental performance SUV Land Rover.
And the new system of “Stop-Start” – this is only the first of the promising technologies of the complex e-Terrain Technologies, a development which LR has invested more than 700 million pounds sterling. In the future, the British (or Indian?) SUVs in hybrid propulsion with electric motors on the rear axle, which would replace the traditional all wheel drive.

Sweden has launched a green initiative in which encourage drivers to drive cleaner cars through taxes.

The plan offers the following proposals:

• Increase of 33% in taxes relating to car to car drivers that handle non-organic.
• Increase of $ 0.17USD per liter for diesel.
• Exemption from taxes to 5 years of ecological cars, electric, or hybrids that emit less than 120g of CO2 per kilometer (almost all hybrids meet these regulations, except for trucks).

The objectives of this initiative are to reduce 40% carbon emissions, and eliminate all polluting cars using fossil fuels by 2030.

This Nordic country is a great example to follow, because although in general the global economy goes through a difficult phase, efforts can be made to improve our environment and reduce pollution.

The energy storage is an issue that so far no satisfactory solution, and thus any innovation is welcome. Only when we can feed our cars with renewable energy (solar, wind, geothermal, etc.).
